Pcsx2 emulator android for free#
I got it for free using my google rewards when it first came out and in the past I did some network testing while using it and at first it only connects to the internet to verify the license other than that you can turn on airplane mode after the license check and the emulator works fine until it needs to check the license again.

Making games like Ocarina of Time, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario 64, FFVI & VII, Yoshi's Island, A Link to the Past, SoulCalibur, virtually all 2D platformers and all 2D Kirby games portable (without actually needing to bring along a console that they're on wherever you go for the ones which already are portable) Isn't the main function of a phone emulator to make console games we love playable on the go, without having to bring extra devices along with you? That's the appeal for me, anyway. And if you're gonna use a controller, why not just emulate the system on a laptop? They'll run better, drain battery way less, have way more consistent and reliable performance, and will be more enjoyable overall. Even given that phones and emulators are both going to become significantly more powerful in the coming years, as they always do. I cannot imagine a scenario where even most Xbox, Wii, or PS1 games would be all that pleasantly playable on a phone without a physical controller. I have an N64 emulator along with Dolphin, and honestly N64 and Gamecube games are already way more difficult with emulated controllers on phones (I'm playing Majora's Mask, Mario Sunshine, and Metroid Prime) and I can only really see stuff like Paper Mario translating well, consoles beyond those would probably be absurd. B/c they all have huge, high quality game libraries that can be experienced to near their fullest capacity on a phone with an emulated controller. Those and the 3DS (via Citra) are pretty much the extent of what it makes sense to emulate on a phone though, imo. Why do people even want this? All the systems you mentioned have games which work incredibly well on Android.
